Blackheath Glen Tourist Park takes home Outstanding Accommodation Provider Award at Local Business Awards

Blackheath Glen Tourist Park has been honoured with the Outstanding Accommodation Provider award at the Local Business Awards in the Blue Mountains, NSW.

Managed by Belgravia Pro, the park earned its place as a finalist in the highly competitive Blue Mountains area thanks to widespread public nominations – a testament to its popularity with locals and tourists alike.

Finalists were then judged against specific criteria as well as their online presence.

The park’s impressive sustainability initiatives, staff training programs and local community contributions set it apart. With features like solar panels, energy-saving amenities, and their introduction of Booking.com leading to a higher online presence, Blackheath Glen Tourist Park demonstrated a commitment to excellence. This culminated in the team taking home the award at the Fairmont Resort in Leura on November 6.

Park Managers Angela and Daniel Garlick attended the Gala event to accept the accolade on behalf of their team. Reflecting on the win, Angela expressed heartfelt gratitude:

Several achievements contributed to Blackheath Glen’s success, including: 

• A 67% increase in occupancy since the end of covid, leading to an annual turnover of over a million dollars for the first time in the park’s history 
• Successfully installing six glamping tents which continue to receive excellent customer reviews 
• Continuing to focus on sustainability initiatives including the installation of solar panels on the amenities block, lights on timers, as well as heaters on movement sensors to save power  
• Providing Blackheath Public School with a BPRO voucher for their annual trivia night
• The park’s quality online training program for staff, Lenny, offering comprehensive upskilling opportunities for the team
